It's definitely getting more interesting, now that the main protagonist has grown up! The slow pacing and misogyny still irks me though lol.

Apparently it’s really slow paced from what I heard, a lot people like books 2 & 3 more than book 1

Haha yeah this is REALLY slow paced! It's one of those books where you can 'daydream' as you read, and miraculously you won't miss anything lol. Very reassuring that books 2 & 3 are likely better than the first one
