I was surprised by ending and I no longer hate one of the characters as I thought I did. I won't say any more than that so as not to give spoilers. I'm glad I decided to read in sequence. I started with a much later episode because my public library didn't have first ones wrtten but after that I decided to collect the entire series by purchasing the books used on internet.
