Two white people calling the black man who works for them and his black girlfriend their "minions" is not a good look.

This book, which has been flying through scenes so fast as to eschew any transitions, exposition, or character development, has suddenly ground to a halt for the climax, which involves, like, 15 pages of people just talking and arguing.
Also, why would Eve threaten to fry them? She controls earth.

The airplane scene is so much worse when you can see all the other passengers staring at them as they loudly declare they're using secret superpowers to stop the storm.

I feel like I'm in a fever dream trying to follow this.
Foster is singing and dancing with the trees, then Tate is telling Foster about the breakthrough his Grandpa had (who has never been established as a scientist in this iteration), then Tate is flying, then Sabine and Finn are there demanding to know what's going on, then Sabine and Foster are hugging as Sabine tells her Cora supported her after her miscarriage.

This comic does a REALLY bad job of introducing and establishing new characters. Again, nothing was done to adapt the inner monologues that served this purpose in the original story, so we're just willy-nilly thrown into other characters' perspectives for two or three pages.

Exactly zero effort was made to have the words match up with the lines on the letter Cora left Foster. Also, the way the water smudged the ink is incredibly unrealistic and purely done for convenience.

I can't get over how bad the pacing is.
This page has 6 panels. Panel 2: Tate falls asleep. P3: Foster notes to self that her psychic powers actually worked while driving past a Welcome to Nebraska sign. P5: Tate wakes up and is freaking out that Foster abducted him, to which she says he simply fell asleep and tells him they've made it to Nebraska. This seems like it all happened in a couple minutes, not hours.

The way characters expressions are drawn is either incredibly stiff or comically exaggerated or just... off?

Also, the way the artist rendered tight clothing makes me uncomfortable, but I can't put my finger on why.

This comic...
This visual medium of storytelling...
Is somehow telling instead of showing???

I don't mean a character going, "Oh, that Foster sure is smart" and the story providing no evidence to back this up. I mean events/action unfolding on the page are being told instead of shown.
How did they screw that up???

Pacing was a major issue in the original novel, and this graphic novel somehow managed to make it worse. A big problem is a lack of transition and flow - there's hardly any establishing panels. You go from Tate and the opposing quarterback doing a coin toss to Foster screaming that there's a tornado.
Also, Tate and Foster's first meeting is even more stilted, and its almost nonsensical without internal monologues.

I promise I'm trying not to comment on every page but... Cora's face is copy-pasted for three consecutive panels with no change and it is DEEPLY UNNERVING
