I'm more than halfway completed the book. The collection is interesting. You get an assortment; some tales are written similar, or at least with some similar concepts, and some stray so far from the path! However, it still contains very mild flavours of Frankenstein

Frankenstein by Jo Fletcher as the last novella in the collection was amazingly thought out. It captures the modern understanding and illustration of Frankenstein, showing the change in decades and storytelling from Mary W. Shelley and undoubtedly pays respect to Shelley's work simultaneously.

To receive is better by Michael Marshall Smith

This short story is very well-written. The title makes a whole lot more sense after reading it. A take on the Frankenstein aspect which looks at the person who’s limbs are taken rather than made

I am beginning to realise this collection does not ask to be consumed very quickly, but to be savoured one bite at a time, over a long period of time

There's a nice assortment of 'Frankenstein' novels and short stories. However, I don't think I can read a collection of stories like this again unless, I've read each of it separately each time or, read most of them. I think that way you'll enjoy the collection more if you're familiar with most of the stories encompassed by Stephen Jones. Otherwise great idea

really started getting into the groove. Mary W. Shelley's Frankenstein is not scary but super tragic for both the creator and creation. Loving most of the mini-stories so far. I empathize with the monster as well as Victor.

Frankenstein's "Adam" did murder his little brother William. He has asked him to make another creature like him of the opposite sex in hopes of companionship after having being shunned, attacked, and cast away from men. He is heading towards London to make an "Eve" in which they will both expel themselves from humanity and live secluded in South America.

I'm beginning to enjoy Mary W. Shelley's Frankenstein. The 'monster' accused of murder by his maker Frankenstein is most articulate and appears to be gentle with very intrinsic values. His intentions are childlike, having brought into a world which he remembers no past. I am looking forward to reading more from his perspective.
