A great heaving, twisting exciting joy-ride so far, just like The City.
One reviewer said the story is too heavy-handed & preachy about racism. How can anyone possibly be too heavy handed against racism?
Racism has a pretty heavy hand of its own.

Just let me finish this chapter PLEEEEASE.
Remember your parents calling
“lights out now, no more reading, go to sleep!”
&
“No you may not read your book instead of eating dinner.”
This book istaking me back to those days; I don’t want to put it down!

Eerie reading about malevolent forces are trying to tear apart the human heart of a city, and following that listening to the news in 2021.
I sure hope ordinary folks, like us, are brave enough and strong enough to work together to defeat the evil before it’s too late.
I’m switching to a hard copy though — Robin Miles does a fine job narrating but I’ve never been a good listener.
