While this is technically urban fantasy I like how the story leans into a soft fantasy atmosphere. The Jersey beach town setting as opposed to suburbia or a city also helps the story avoid the usual clashing themes of magic with explaining things that is really common in urban fantasy.

While I actually am liking the audiobook my progress has been very slow as I don't want this to be over. There aren't many Holly Black books left I haven't read so I'm trying to savor this as long as possible.
