I read the last of the "Vices of the Political System," (that leads into the "Framing and Ratifying the Constitution" section that lasts from 1787-1789) into the "Virginia Plan."

Read first 6 vices United States political system. It = *great* resource 4 how different Constitutional amendments interact /w each other & what laws should take precedent over other similar laws of that magnitude. Even though James Madison = not as recognizable as president had 2 fight British n 1812 onward, his ideas were cemented into the majority of the Constitution & Madison should be 1st person consulted here.

I read several of James Madison's, including one that seems to show how the framers of the Constitution came up with the idea of the U.S. Senate that would make all of the states, including the small population states, equal in power of the purse....!!! The next read will be reading his "Vices of the Political System of the United States." This should be interesting.....!!!

I believe that what read was a recollection of a speech that James Madison made in Continental Congress for revenue, treaties and overseas trade and the need for an Executive branch to enforce the laws. Now, I will the next letter of his to Mr. Edmund Randolph in Philladephia in May of 1783.

I read that James Madison made amendments to the Virginia Declaration of Rights that he believed that we owe a duty to God to practice Christian values to our neighbors and not to show favoritism towards any faith and that no one should be forced to join a religion. There are also two letters to Thomas Jefferson on here relating probably to the Revolutionary War troubles and inter-state strife.
