I have to abandon some critic depending on if this is a child/teen book. Which means I may not be as critical as well. I wasn’t a big fan of the way Taloa grabs their neck & basically drowns them so they can have “The Sight”. If this is a child’s book that’s a bit extreme. Teen novel I’ll accept. The father being so aggressive to Nick; yet Laurie is off Scott free. I have parenting issues w/ this book!

Illustration is gorgeous! Hands down a fan of the old school animated hand drawn like illustrations. Rather than the more automated or geometrical like illustrations. I have also found 2-3 typos I the 63 pages I’ve read. I find that funny because books go thru so many proof reads & I can always find at least one.
