This book, and it's main character have a whole new meaning to me now post diagnosis. So I'm re reading this with my new eyes, knowing now why this book while wonderful the first time left me with a scratching kind of feeling I couldn't understand. Now it makes sense to me, Beth makes sense to me, and the flow is not interrupted by the scratchies.

Sometimes, okay quite often to be sure, I enjoy reading out loud to myself. I put the feelings and emotions the characters are having into it, and each passage or voice in the narrative takes on it's own flavour. Moira of course the lilt of her Irish heritage. It's soothing to hear the characters speak out loud, the vibrations, the power, the love. A kind of scripted echolalia if you will.

Reread it again, because like all of these books, I treasure the journey. Not nearly the first time I've reread this book, not the last. Still something I adore.

And again I reread this treasure, learning, appreciating, and seeing half a centuries worth of gfowth with new eyes/heart/mind and understanding so much better what it means to be a different witch myself.

This is the first time I've reread this after finding out that I too am "A Different Witch" and I just love this book even more. To see Beth and many of our beloved Witch Central folks grow and get to see past their differences to a place of love and acceptance is such a great goodness.
