So far, this reads like a gripe session from a soured university professor filled with anecdotes from himself and other intellectuals to prove his feelings (something he derides non-intellectuals for). Overall, I’m sure he’s right, and Americans are increasingly distrusting of “experts,” which I’m sure had something to do with expertise itself being increasingly suspect.
