I am beginning to want to DNF this. I really wanted to love this because of all the hype...

Do it! Life's too short to read books you're not feeling, especially when you have another book calling your name

I always feel bad for DNFing books that everyone else seems to love but then again, I am as it is so stressed out with my college, I don't want books to give me stress as well.
