I am estimating the amount I have accomplished since this book is a hardcover without page numbers. I have made it through the first suit of a deck of cards, Diamonds: The Castle Maze are complete and next is traversing Clubs: The Hedge Maze.
I tried to complete this book the year it was published and made it halfway through the Clubs, but I have started from the beginning with a new puzzle partner. Wish me luck!

Ugh, I broke down and cheated on the last puzzle. I have been stuck for weeks because I didn't know 1/3 of who killed who in Shakespeare's tragedies. Ended up spending the afternoon on Wikipedia with my mom looking at various royal families. Did you know Eleanor of Aquitaine had 8 children in her second marriage (after 15 years in her first marriage)... old mama for that time period ;P

We are so close to finishing the first maze - just one final puzzle where 3 clues have us stumped before we use the keywords to escape... into the next maze.

Started reading this book out loud last night with my SO after a nice dinner. We are so far halfway through the first maze, collecting playing cards and opening portcullises by solving puzzles and collecting keywords to help solve the final puzzle to exit the maze. Crosswords, word search, anagrams, crryptograms, logic and math are included. I went to sleep thinking about it and did some more this a.m. and p.m. :)
