For a book on systemised thinking and causality, the amount of logical leaps is painful. The book fails to prove the central thesis and drips with subjective selection of evidence while using a single data point to disprove alternative explanations in many parts of the narrative. My annoyance with this has bumped "are we smart enough to know how smart animals are" up the queue of my to read list. Detailed review @NYT
