The book is charming, the pictures are fantastic and it reads like an advent calendar with one page per day in December up to Christmas Eve - great to read with boys especially from 7 up to the age of 13. We started reading it years ago in the evenings of December, as a joint read aloud and still do. My son really enjoys it.
