How convenient. Walter Pearson, one of the guests, is a retired obstetrician. And Jack the bartender is fetching his very pregnant wife Lindsay to stay with him at the hotel (at Luke’s behest) in case the impending blizzard shuts down the roads.

She’d never defied her mother, not openly at least. What a sad thing to have to admit at the age of thirty-five.
How old is Luke? Ethan is 4 going on 5.

I should get him to talk to my brothers - proof that I can do something well.
But you owned a successful salon, and that takes a heck of a lot of skill and hard work.
But that’s not how success is defined in the McLaughlan family.
Well, for what it’s worth, I think your family are job snobs.

Ack. Goodness, this story is the epitome of miscommunication. Or rather, lack of communication.
Marnie keeps flip-flopping between getting so mad and distrustful of Luke that she claims up, and realizing that coming clean is the way to go. 😒

My prediction: Marnie will recommend against the sale of The Mirabel Inn. When the owners proceed with the sale anyway, Marnie uses her proceeds from her salon “sale” to purchase the Inn so she and Luke can run it together and end up with each other.

Marnie’s flip-flopping is driving me nuts.
She finally decides she wants to assert her own desires instead of subsuming them to others’ wants like she has been all her life, and then she decides to keep up with Scott’s deception instead of coming clean to Luke? 🤦🏻♀️
