Having just finished The Peripheral and Agency, I have a newfound appreciation for Neuromancer, especially as far as it establishes so many themes, characterizations, and technologies used by Gibson over the arc of his work. Then and now, he embeds familiarity within his "otherworldly" settings. Definitely stick with his more recent work for more well-rounded characters, especially female-presenting ones.
