halway thru this book and I still see no point in this aimless piece of writing. luminous? more like painfully self-indulgent. give me my action scenes and trailer trash anyday, if "sophisticated" writing means poor plot development and tedious ennui. if I wanted to read about an artist going nowhere I will not need to read books.
