Gio sure doesn't believe in being subtle.

It seems Sawyer has wanted Zara for quite a while.

She's a lot more happy about this turn of events than she initially let on. Well, at least she is now acknowledging it as a gift, though she's still pissed about the way Damien went about it. Sawyer is fretting over her.

This flashback seriously shows just how disgusting and mentally disturbed Josh was. That guy was a total psycho! And no one at their precinct knew it because he pretended so well in front of others. He really would have killed her one day if she'd stayed with him.

No wonder she broke things off with Josh. If she'd stayed in that relationship any longer, he would have started abusing her physically. He was already an emotional and psychological one. He'd been steadily isolating her from others and he was verbally abusive and seeing possible infidelity all over the place when she wasn't doing anything of the sort. He seems like one of those "if I can't have you, no one can" men.

Pretty sure she doesn't see this as a gift, Gio.

Now the things he told her makes sense. What a thing to do to a person without asking them if they want it, though.

I don't blame Zara for being worried about Damien giving her that kind of information. It's valuable and not something gargoyles would likely want humans to know about. So she has to be wondering why he told her. He says it's because she's trustworthy and it's not wonder she finds that iffy since they don't know each other.

Sawyer is not pleased with Damien Viridios showing up and spiriting Zara away. He's very, very not pleased.

She's not happy about being called a hero. Especially not in front of so many people and being emotionally influenced by a Sapphire gargoyle. Also, her former fiancee's mentor sure is acting cringy. Sounds like he wants her in his bed. So nasty. I wonder why she was calling things off with Josh, though.
