My word, have focused POVs gone out of fashion? This is all over the place.

I think I’ve put my finger on what’s bothering me about Dark Heights, why the pacing feels so off: I’m used to a single episode of Serial Box being longer and consequently covering more ground. It’s making it feel slow, but the episodes are maybe 60% as long as I expect so really I’ve just listened to less - so of course it hasn’t got very far. If I think of myself as only 4-5 eps in, it feels way better

I’ve got mixed feelings about this. It’s intriguing and eerie, and I like Tess, but it still hasn’t sucked me in. So far it’s all noises off and shadows on the wall, hints of world building but the plot remains obscure.

Well this is off to an intriguing start. And I love both narrators.
