Read about half of this book for my Slavery and Race in American History class this last semester. While thought-provoking, it is unbelievably dense. Roediger does a good job at tracing white supremacy from the English colonies, but it always takes him a while to connect what he wants to get across. I think I will want to finish this book in the future, but not right now!
