Julia (h) seems to have developed a fetish for the hero's "dent in his chin", where she "wanted to press her finger into it". Well, believe me Julia, if I had a man on my couch who "was beautiful. All sleek, well-toned muscle, like a cat at rest, a lion, usually poised to pounce", the dent in his chin would be the least of my concerns... LOL! It was meh, review in the making:
thinking, thinking, thinking...snoozezzz

The revenge of the runt. I don't know...These two still have to convince me of their genuine attraction. He seems to want her just because she's his brother's fiancée and she seems to hysterically want to marry his evil twin cause he's a duke. She used to save stray animals, she successfully manages the estate, she's so patient with her little brother... dangerously trespassing Mary Sue territory.

Ah... the pure masculine beauty of corded muscles and sinewy sinews of rider and horse as they move like one...
I'm not sure about the time setting of this one. I've seen it catalogued as Victorian, but the heroine talks about her "short spencer", so I would rather think of a very late Regency, maybe 1830-1835 and then the Napoleonic Wars are never mentioned, like something that already belongs to the past.

Just started. Seems promising...I like her writing style very much. I did not realized when I read the blurb that the H/h were childhood friends even if they haven't seen each other for a decade, otherwhise I woudn't have chosen to read it. Well, that's my problem. It's just that I don't find the childhood friends trope romantic... but I won't let this influence my rating on the quality of the book.
