GASLIGHTING AGAIN. Now I'm supposed to believe this "father" is being "loving" by NOT ALLOWING HER TO COMFORT HER OWN PARENTS? And wtf why is she walking into his arms, why did her anger 'die', after what the Springs have done and having the gall to act high/mighty and demonize her again??? I do not get this. I'd lose my shit if I were Janie.

Okay, so NOW reading books apparently makes you a bad person. And, this family is bringing their violent fantasies to real life. AND, we are once again being told that 3-year olds are to blame for their own kidnappings. Honestly FUCK this book.

Is this seriously for real? We have one kid who wishes a 3-year old would've been tortured and killed (and blamed for her own kidnapping), we have another who wants to get violent with her, and we have 2 parents who abducted this teen from her family. But JANIE'S the bad guy????

How is this even legally allowed? Ripping a child away from her life and family? And this is a NIGHTMARE for an introvert, yet nobody seems to care. The Springs are the real kidnappers here, the real life-ruiners. This is so psychologically damaging to do to someone..why is the VICTIM being punished??
