Sad news. Mike Puma, Goodreads legend, has passed away. Mike was a passionate reader and consummate reviewer, with a love for Latin American writers, as well as being a source of hilarity, loveliness, and absolutely exquisite chin hair. Goodreads is sadder for his loss.

Oh terrible news. So sorry to hear that - I have so many memories of wonderful, inspiring interactions with him here over the years.

Yes, thanks. This news is more than shocking. I’m deflated.
I hate to see this. Not only was he a passionate reader with taste, but he was always an exemplar of good manners on here, which is behavior to be treasured in online discourse.
We should arrange a zoom evening where we chat about some of Mike's favourite books.
Mike was fun and interesting. A good man. He will be missed.
So sorry to hear this. He was a kind, erudite soul.
