I don't know what to do. I do care about the topic and want to give it a fair shot. It's an ARC about queer history/studies but by Zeus' hairy balls this is repetitive and long-winded!

Am I imagining things or is this the second, maybe third instance where the author explains the topic, methodology and chapter content? Because I remember reading this previously in detail...I'm confused.

I'm now 20% into this book and things are still bing set-up, outlined, introduced and vaguely summarised for what is to come.
It's incredibly repetitive and the pace is moving glacially. I feel like I've read the same three paragraphs for the first 20% of the book, just with little word and place variation.

Lona I always feel a bit bad when I care about the topic so much but the book is written exhausting/repetitive/meandering like... I want to enjoy it but it's so hard. :')
