I’m still not used to Alecia Whitaker’s writing style; it just feels incomplete when I’m reading a book without complicated words. However, it’s alright as it is easy to read—very easy, actually.
As for the story, why is Bird all about Kai? She’s just been talking to him for, like, one day and yet, she’s all over him already? But then, she thinks about Adam again. Ugh, get over him first, Bird!

The Bird in this book is much different from the previous one; she’s more immature, self-conscious, and too eager to please. It seems like her new friend—Devyn—on top of her career, has made a major impact on her self-image. Like when Devyn found out that Bird was still a virgin, and then Bird felt so embarrassed that she basically threw herself on Kai as soon as he got to her bedroom. Also, she hates Kayelee.

Bird’s “Notice Me” just got nominated for Single of the Year. She and her parents were ecstatic; they were jumping and hugging and all that. But why does it feel like her parents are just proud of her when she accomplishes something? They easily get furious about little things—like when Bird went shopping with Devyn. I get that she’s just only 17, but it’s her life. She used HER money that SHE worked for.
