I can see why this book is both loved and hated. I think overall it's a really profound look at love, humanity, mortality, religion, and the human condition.

I kind of wish I / more people were made to read it as young adults because of the important lessons that can be learned about suicide, love, etc.

By modern standards, Anna would be considered toxic, which she most definitely is.
