In my 40s, I earned a BA in English with a Creative Writing Emphasis. Some professors considered me ancient. And then, one of them (a successful novelist) blurted out that he wished he could steal my story. "How You Play the Game" was later published in The Hummingbird Review alongside such greats as Michael Blake of Dances With Wolves fame. The same story is included in Extraordinary Treasures.
