A little sad, because this is the last Robin Forsythe book for me to read. He didn’t live long after starting his ‘second career’ as a Mystery writer. I think my favourite so far is The Ginger Cat Mystery. The prose style is always very lively and witty. Hoping for a decent whodunit - tend to enjoy any Mystery set on a ship at sea.

BrokenTune Another one to add to my TBR?

Since I haven’t finished it yet, I’m much more inclined to recommend The Ginger Cat Mystery, or The Polo Ground Mystery, by the same author. I do enjoy the cruise ship atmosphere, though..,so even if the whodunit falters, at least I’ve had that out of it, a cool setting.

I’ve started this year with a lot of Dean Street Press stuff, and another woman author, besides Harriet Rutland, scored a pretty big hit with me: I’m talking about Dead Man’s Quarry, by Ianthe Jerrold. So, you might do alright, not just with a Robin Forsythe book, but also with Jerrold (The Studio Crime was pretty entertaining too). Meanwhile, all these fun authors didn’t write many books - or many books in the genre - so I’m about due to visit the Dean Street Press website to seek out a new author...

I should actually finish The Pleasure Cruise Mystery today, and will be able to give a final rating and report. My second favourite Mystery novel ever, The False Inspector Dew by Peter Lovesey, takes place on an ocean liner, and that’s a hard act for Forsythe to follow, frankly.

BrokenTune LoL. Thanks for the recommendations. I have downloaded a couple of kindle editions of a Jerrold and a Forsythe. :D We'll see how it goes.
