Funny, I usually give the Hamish MacBeth stories a 3 rating. They're cozy mysteries. Not the greatest mysteries or writing, but so soothing. The descriptions of the Scottish highlands and it's people keep me reading the series. I've read about 25 books in the series, maybe I should rethink that 3.
