Gregor's family is trying to make excuses so that he does not get angry. Gregor can't control his body and voice very well so he's trying to open his rooms door.

After Gregor hears his family talking about him, he becomes Emden more saddened by his life. He crawls back into his room, however more slowly than he left. He starves himself to death until his insect body us dried up. The cleaning lady seems delighted about the fact.

Gregors family comes to the conclusion that the big bug that he has become is not really him. Greta specifically suggests that they should get rid of him because it's not really him. She says that if the big bug was really him he would have left so that he would not place a burden on his family.

Everyone is trying to get Gregor to get up and open the door from his room. He is having a difficult time standing up and speaking. He's a bug and is on his back which makes it difficult for him to move.

Mah boy just woke up one day and realized he had became a cockroach. Ya know that thing roaches do when they accidentally flip over and can't pick themselves up so they move their little legs? Ya I think thaz wats happening. From now on every time I see a roach I will think about the possibility of it being a human. Ill probably still kill it though
