OMG are they going to fulk or what? If he doesn't literally rip her bodice I'm going to feel used.

"Did you dream, perchance . . . ?" he asks. Ah, to sleep, perchance to dream.

This book is so much awesomer than I even hoped. It takes place in 1237. Not like, the 1230's, but specifically 1237. You know why? I'll bet you a nickel it's because she's going to try to bring in something actually historical! Ha!

I just finished it. I think it's the best actual bodice ripper we've read. That's not saying much. They all talk like yoda, which is pretty awesome.
I know. The whole book is like that. As I say, it's pretty awesome. It's all like, "milor, should you choose to throw down your gauntlet, no honor will you have." yessss. I don't even know what a gauntlet is. There are like a bazillion burning eyes and no burning loins to speak of, so that's kind of weird. Smeyer approved literary foray. OOPS SPOILERS!

I'm there.
I don't understand why anyone is doing anything in this book. Also, I have some sort of allergy to the Scottish sidekick - is there always a Scottish sidekick? With their dinnaes and lassies. Shiver me timbers.
Didn't Soulless have one? And PtP? I think there's mos def some sort of "noble savage" thing going on with the way the Scots are depicted. Cutesy accents are a plus, too.
Yeah, you have to kind of read fast because I feel like a lot of it is them sitting around being like, "nonono!" "yesyesyes!" and then reminding you of their central character motivation. It's a little boring. But not, like, Skye boring, or even PtP boring. I think it's basically PtP with fewer weird, random hijinx. More sitting around working out their psychological difficulties.Anyway, the main dude in Soulless was Scottish I'm pretty sure.
BUT I like the Scottish guy by the end. There are a couple of parts I really like with him. And I feel like usually the sidekick is an old creepy guy, and so this one's better because he's young and spry.
Maybe it's that when they're hot, they're hott: Ewan McGreggor. This guy is Mel Gibson in Braveheart, though, which isn't my personal thing, but I basically get it, I think.
Sorry, I feel like I'm spoilering the whole thing. I'm figuring people don't care, but maybe it's better to be thinking they're going to fulk the whole time.
No . . . ummmm. Wait, maybe. It's about Australia in WWII and how the British fucked them over. But I guess there are homoerotic overtones. I haven't seen it in years, so I don't really remember. Now that I think about it, there have to be, but I think I didn't pick up on it when I watched it.
Mad Max was hott. Later day Gibson makes my skin crawl, though.
Be excellent to each other.
Be excellent to each other.

That's what I'm saying. Gallipoli and Year of Living Dangerously were in those days. Before the accent change.
Party on, dudes!
