I'm listening to an audiobook version and the man reading sounds like a voiceover from Smuckers commercials. I can hear him remembering the good old days before computers existed. I swear I can hear him lick his finger and turn the page. It's so dated. The ideas are still valid, but I feel like it's coming off as 'rich white men in the 1940's manipulating to get ahead in business and not have their wives leave them.'

Heh, literally one of the stories began with, "After WWI ended, I..." And there was a nice story about telling a secretary she looked nice in a dress and telling her to not get stuck up about it before telling her to do her job better. Way to ease the blow. Ooh, and a nice story about him talking himself out of a ticket with a cop and a story about him kindly lecturing a group of teenagers at a park. It makes me LOL.
