I'm getting the same feeling of awe that I remember having when I read Ursula K. Leguin's Left Hand of Darkness. Such a confusing story with so many things I didn't grasp at first, but the joy of unwinding the threads, the characters and the story makes it so fascinating. What are the shadows? the Ularians? Great strong, interesting women characters. Loving it so far.
