Hm. Not sure if I like the writing. Or the setting. You'll really have a "Mother War" but then women be all.... soft and dainty or mean, but not warriors? Or not stay Queen once their husband dies? Sure, that makes sense.

Don't want to dnf just yet, purely because I want to see why y'all adore Abercrombie's writing, it seems so boring and "telling not showing" for the most of it.
