The ending felt kind of rushed, but it was very sweet all the same. I was heartbroken by TJ, but ultimately I think it was healthy for them to go their separate ways, though I'd have loved to see more from them. To be honest, there were a few things plot/character wise that bothered me, but overall I did like this story for what it was. I'm sad the country's over, but I'm glad I got to experience it.

"That's some dollars and a respectable amount of cocaine," Might be one of my favorite lines I've read in awhile.

Something I've noticed is the author's fantastic command over atmosphere. For several chapters the mood could be light and fun, then at the drop of a hat it could get tense or awkward. Up til this point, the growth in TJ and Amal's relationship has been well paced, with it culminating at the halfway point. Something is definitely up with TJ, though, with subtle hints dropped along the way. Can't wait to continue!

I've been really filled with nostalgia so far while reading this. I've been thinking a lot about the days before I read webcomics on tapas or webtoon, when I'd find webcomics through online forums or through the recommended sections of some comics. I'm really enjoying the slow burn build of TJ and Amal's relationship--roadtripping can be awkward but especially with strangers! I'm so curious too about TJ's call, too.
