I'm almost done, but the longer it goes on, the more I can't stand the protagonist. The murder, at this point, has become *intensely* personal. She should be grieving, wanting to fiercely avenge the death. Justice should be driving Maggie forward like a freight train, instead she's more concerned about showing how g*ddamn clever she is. Or whether her crush is in love with someone else. It's disgusting and selfish.
