Man that murder scene was hard to get through. Just an fyi, if you read the lastest CS Harris's St. Cyr this is the murders she depicts in her book and even gives a nod to De Quincey in her book. I just didn't know it at the time. Just beware in Morrell's De Quincey the scenes are a bit more gruesome, but the writing is compelling and vividly drawn.
