All the homophobic reviews on this: OMG he's gay and they make too much of a big deal about it... personally with the little I've read, I really like this character and the main character. I'm interested in the story. The evil twist on the Twelve Dancing Princesses story is the only version I've experienced aside from the Barbie one as a kid, and I like it in the other similar book I've read. Looking forward to this.

This takes a long time to get started. Aside from Alix and Fabio most of the characters are just kind of there. I can't help comparing it to the JDG version, which has a more engaging storyline and characters. I just read the wikipedia plot summary, and I enjoy the curse versions more than I probably would with the originals. I'm glad I'm exposed to more of this later in life vs of when I got into other fairytales.

I'm really enjoying this so far. Fabio is a good example of incidental representation done well. I like the mystery/intrigue behind the princes' curse, and how not everything is revealed right away. The only book I can compare this to is the Princesses of Westfalin series, but the way this is done is interesting because I'm not even sure if it's dancing, fighting, or something more sinister. I like this so far.
