I was 75 percent done when I loaned this book to a friend who became interested when I attempted to describe it. Guess it will remain on hold until I buy a replacement or my friend decides to give it back. Lesson learned!

Although this is an excellent book I find myself stalled.

This is one book that will have you writing in the margins. Every other page has someting in it that causes me to stop reading and consider/reconsider my thoughts and ideas. This is not a book I can easily plow through. Too much to consider and re-read.

“… having plonked his bedroll down behind this tree late last night, a bedroll that unheedingly corrupted the poor tufts of crabgrass beneath it and seduced the blades of finger grass beside it, blades that were struggling in the dim light in the carpet of leaves and twigs in an unheeding forest for a chance at existence in the mosaic of life, that bright medley.”

In looking for a sentence or two to provide you with a peek at this art, I found it difficult to select a single section as the entire Prologue is beautiful. As I’m limited to the number of words I can include in the progress report I’ll satisfy my desire to share this beauty with the following;

Every once in a while you pick up a book where the author combines letters into words and words into paragraphs like a musician combines notes into stanzas and stanzas into songs. The Prologue to this book is art.
