Not a fan so far. The cover is not good (I know…). Main characters unlikable so far. The writing feels like fan fiction in precisely the way I can’t stand, like the author tried to make it feel current by adding made up media in a way that feels uncanny valley to me.
Only continuing because this book comes highly recommended.

Wow Alex has an alcohol problem and this book sure likes to make it sound like fun. Actually, alcohol is such a strong plot device in this book it should be considered a major character.

The romance part of the book is finally starting and it’s pretty good.
If there’s more “politics” I’m going to scream. Main character still highly unlikeable. Use of alcohol tropes very boring.

I’m probably going to have to hold my nose for the “politics” section of this because I sense so much liberal brain worms.
