Thomas was of the view that, in poetry, form and subject are inextricable, that the mode of expression is as important as the message. R.S. Thomas was one odd, contradictory character. He could write poems, though!

Yes, I meant boor. But maybe the term "boar" might have been somewhat applicable too... :-)
