The sperm whale is whiteness, it's God, it gets killed in brutal ways, it's the precious and animalistic, mysterious and unassailable, the ultimate object of desire. Ishmael doesn't want to fuck the whale but I think there is a little romance happening between him and the Polynesian whaler, Queequeq. Very gay!!!
