Now I’ve read a lot of questionable romances in my day, but this female love interest is 16 and the male love interest is 28... I understand that girls got married younger in ye olden days, but the author acknowledges in the beginning that she took a lot of “artistic liberty” with this book..... she couldn’t have made the love interest 18?? As in.... not a literal CHILD?? High key gross.
