The book is well-written but very different from the rest if C.D. Reiss’ books. One thing I really hate about this book, from the very first page, is the way the author portrays Italy - its customs, culture, the “freedom”. I’m from Europe and it’s appalling how little Americans know about us, and how Europe is written about. Please, come to Europe and see the land of the free here. Don’t be ignorant.
