Hrm. Ending swooped up there for me... Not sure.

I'm oscillating back and forth on this one. The Sci-Fi framework is fascinating, but we just hit a major "hyper-competent people make very poor choices because it ups the stakes" plot moment and... those annoy frustrate me.
