Good luck! I almost gave up during book 1, but I'm glad I stuck it out. This is one of my favorite series, but there's some weird stuff in the first books that sort of creeped me out and it's not for everyone. I hope you like it.

Yeah I'm actually feeling the same way. A little slow but if you say it picks up, I'll definetly stay with it ;) I have to say Ilona Andrews has set the bar pretty high on urban fantasy for me. How does this series compare?

Hmmm I like them both pretty equally, but Ilona Andrews has better romance and I love the committed relationship between Kate and Curran. This series is more urban fantasy, with a lot going on in each book. Rachel does have love interests, and guys I've been really attached to, but I'm on book 11 and I'm still not positive who she will end up with. No love triangles, just ups and downs in her life and she's had several different boyfriends throughout the series. I know who I want it to be, who I think it will be, but I've had to remain pretty committed to get to this point. I realize that doesn't appeal to everyone. This one picks up in the last quarter I think.

Well I shall stick with it and see where it goes for me :) been in the mood for a good urban fantasy.
