Now the love triangle elements are swooping in since Kana's suspicious about how long Yuki-Onna/Tsurara has known Nura and calls him by his first name. She's jumping to conclusions.
Despite some of the shonen tropes Shiibashi's relying on here, I remember being excited and annoyed by the Gyuki arc since it was teased so much. At 21, his plan to split apart Nura's school friends in order to find his aides is smart.

So Gyuki's motivation is wanting to see Nura utilize his strength in his night form all throughout his life. Since he can't, he feels like he's too weak, hence his current plan.
I don't think this was as strong as the last volume, but I do think this arc has been solid and I like how Nura's starting to become aware of his other form. If the female characters were stronger, I'd like this more.
