Basically.Heathcliff isnt a normal player. Kirito tests this by attacking him with his fastest attack that would have put him at red health.Heathcliff is saved by system protection displaying him as an immortal object

Kirito dies too but takes Kayaba with him too. Everyone is logged out and they watch SAO slowly vanish from the games spectating Heaven like stage above the actual tower. Kirito and Asuna vow they'll meet again one day. This is only the beginning.

Kirito solves that Heathcliff is Akihiko Kayaba, the creator of Sword art online and who trapped all 2000 players and is responsible for all the deaths. Kirito accepts a dual from Kayaba to end SAO and log everyone out if he wins. But this time its a fair battle. Although Kayaba knows every move of Kirito because he designed them. Kirito is about to die and Asuna sacrifices herself for him and dies.

I read all the way until chapter 9. This vol has 11 chapters, Kirito and Asuna
mourn the death of their adopted child Yui. They both reminisce about their time in Aincrad and how they have changed over time from meeting each other. Healthcliff the leader of KOB (knights of bloodoath) stops kirito and Asuna honeymoon and calls them back to HQ. They need to participate in the next boss battle of floor 75.

a girl named sachi, sachi was a weak member of the guild and was terrified of the idea of dying, she ran away from the guild and they went looking for her, kirito found and had a talk with sachi about how he would protect her so she doesn’t die, the next day she is killed along with most of the guild besides the leader and kirito in a boobytrap designed by the game, the leader committed suicide after kirito confess

Asuna and kirito confess their obvious love to each other. kirito wants to build a close connection with asuna so he tells her about his mysterious past and why he’s a solo player. kirito reveals he actually has been in a small friend group guild before and how he got the whole unit killed because he kept his level and stats secret from everyone, he was far stronger than every member in the guild and was training

So kirito nearly dies in the hands of cradil, the guy he beat in a 1v1 battle, cradil uses a paralysis skill he learned from the guild he joined called Laughing Coffin, which is a murder guild that kills other players, and asuna comes to save kirito as he’s close to death and heals him, kirito ends up killing cradil to prevent him from harming asuna (cradil pled for mercy to asuna then tries and to kill her)
