There’s a scene where the characters turn on a projector and watch stock footage of a battle from the previous book like in a Showa Gamera movie. Incredible

The foreword to this book is a great piece of nonfiction writing in its own right, examining the literary definitions of a “monster” in more depth than it’s usually afforded.
