Already in love with this book. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where the biggest story was the tornado that destroyed the town. The book opening with her parallel story had me hooked immediately. I also adore her exploration of solitude after a breakup. I can personally relate to crusty dishes and two glasses of whiskey. And her experience of struggling to find a label that fits is so relatable.
